Who could’ve predicted that a block-based game would become so popular? Minecraft has become a global sensation that shows no signs of stopping soon. The freedom to create anything in Minecraft has led to some truly amazing creations. From whole cities to fictional locations such as Kings Landing from Game of Thrones and the Deathstar from Star Wars. Now Apex Legends fans are joining in on the fun.

One group of Minecraft players have undertaken a rather large project – to recreate the World’s Edge map from Respawn Entertainment’s popular game, Apex Legends. We’ve seen a sneak peek of the team’s progress when Reddit user, kurobekuro, posted a screenshot of a fully-realized Fragment East and West.

The scale of the map and the detail achieved is truly breathtaking. From the ruined skyscrapers, vast chasms, and even air conditioning units on all the buildings, loot bins and pipes truly brings the Apex Legends map to life in Minecraft.

The team isn’t done here. According to kurobekuro, the goal is to recreate the entire Apex Legends World Edge map from Season Six in Minecraft. This will include places of interest that are no longer available in the current version, such as the Refinery and Sorting Factory.

How long will it take? Well, kurobekuro told readers that it took the team three weeks to complete the prototype build of Season three’s Capitol City and then an additional four days to turn it into a fragment. From this information, it’s become apparent that this even bigger undertaking still has a long road ahead before being completed.

We look forward to seeing this team of Apex Legends fans recreates the entire Worlds’ Edge map in Minecraft for other players and fans to experience. Until then, read more news about the Apex Legends Mobile launch and our detailed Minecraft Review.

Born and raised in South Africa I am the mother of two busy kids and one loving husband. Since leaving school I immediately started working and have been involved in many different industries where I learned a wide range of skills. Some of my skills range from marketing to management and even teaching special needs children, particularly those with severe developmental delays. I am a self-proclaimed holiday nut, taking any chance I can get to decorate and celebrate major holidays such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas, often planning these months in advance! I have a wide range of passions that I persue (as often as I can) such as reading, writing, bonsai, crafting, creating natural beauty products, listening to music and playing games (prefered platforms being PC and Xbox).
