Back in 2017, Minecraft announced the Super Duper Graphics Pack. The pack promised to give a new, polished look to the blocky world. Unfortunately, the new pack proved to be a bit too ambitious for the development team as they announced today that the project has been canceled.
According to their blog post, the team wasn’t “happy” about how the pack performed on all devices. Basically, it looks like it worked and looked nice on some devices, but not on all devices.
Sadly, it looks like we still won’t be able to play Minecraft with “super-duper” graphics. Until the day comes when the Minecraft Development Team brings Minecraft’s graphics to the next level, we will just have to watch videos like this and hope.
