How to make a smoker in Minecraft

Before you learn how to make a smoker, let’s start with the basics.

Step 1: Collect ingredients

You can’t create a smoker out of nothing. You’ll need to craft a furnace with cobblestone blocks first and collect at least four blocks of wood. It doesn’t matter what types you obtain, as all wood blocks work.

Step 2: Place items on the crafting table

Now that you’re ready, whip out the crafting table. Place the furnace in the center of the grid, with the wood blocks around it in the middle of each row and column.

Step 3: Collect your smoker

The smoker will appear as soon as you press the craft button. You can now freely collect it and place it in the desired location.

The hungry Minecrafter

Time is of the essence when you’re low on health or have been poisoned. You don’t have time to wait for the furnace to finish cooking one silly fish. Thanks to the smoker, you can speed things up. If you need more help with creating items, feel free to read our detailed Minecraft Crafting Guide.
